In Memory · Sympathy Keepsakes
A permanent place in the room for the ones who stay with you
Shadow Pets turns a single favourite photograph into a hand-finished, framed bas-relief sculpture. Preview your exact memorial keepsake free in minutes. Nothing is charged until you approve it for our New Zealand studio.
Sculpted from a single saved photograph
You don’t need a studio portrait or a new photo shoot. Any clear everyday snapshot already on your phone or camera roll (even from years ago) is enough for our studio to model a true 90-degree sculptural relief.

A permanent heirloom, not a flat print
Each relief is sculpted in a fine matte archival composite, hand-sanded, hand-painted, and sealed in our New Zealand studio, then set into a 14" × 11" (35.6 × 27.9 cm) deep-profile timber shadow box behind shatter-resistant acrylic glazing.
Thoughtful for sympathy gifting

Memorial Questions
Common questions about memorial commissions
- Can you make a memorial sculpture from an old phone photo?
- Yes. Because our studio composes each relief from a single photograph, any clear, reasonably well-lit photo you already have saved on your phone or computer works well, even if your pet passed away years ago.
- What if the photo shows a collar, harness, or cluttered background?
- Each relief is composed solely around your pet, leaving out collars, harnesses, leashes, and background distractions so the finished bas-relief focuses purely on your companion's natural form.
- How do I give a Shadow Pets sculpture as a pet loss sympathy gift?
- Upload a favourite photo of their pet (from a shared album or social media), review the free digital preview yourself, and approve the $299 USD commission. We ship it directly to you or the recipient in a magnetic-closure presentation box.
- How long does a memorial commission take to arrive?
- Your digital preview is ready within minutes. Once approved, hand-finishing in our New Zealand studio and insured international delivery take 2–3 weeks.
